Easy to sew reusable multi-sized All in One (AIO) Cloth Diapers. The waterproof barrier is sewn right in, so no additional diaper covers are needed.

This pattern can be used to sew fitted diapers, pocket diapers, and more using our free, bonus instructions at our weblog.

This pattern comes with four different pattern pieces to make the following sizes:
XS/Newborn: birth - 12lbs
Small: 10lbs - 16lbs
Medium: 15lbs - 25lbs
Large: 22lbs - 40lbs

The yardages below are estimates to help you sew All in One diapers from the pattern as directed, with a built in waterproof layer.

Fabric and Yardage Requirements

Suggested Fabrics & Yardages:		Single Diaper	Twelve Diapers
Outer Diaper Body Layer	Waterproof fabric such as: Polyester Knit Polyurethane Laminate "PUL" or heavy weight polyester fleece.	5/8 yard of 60" wide waterproof fabric will yield 2 waterproof diaper body layers	3 5/8 yard of 60" wide waterproof fabric will yield 12 waterproof diaper body layers
Absorbent Inner Diaper Body Layers & Soaker Pad	100% Cotton such as: Birdseye Pique, Diaper Flannel. Thicker absorbent fabrics can also be used such as: sherpa knit terry or stretch terries, cotton french terry, hemp fabrics, or even woven terry toweling - but keep in mind these fabrics may result in a bulkier diaper.	2 1/8 yards 36" wide birdseye for two full body layers, 8 layers of the soaker pad and 2 booster pieces.	24 yards of 36" wide birdseye fabric will yield 12 large waterproof diaper body layers, their 8 layer soaker pads, and 2 layer super boosters.
Super Booster Doubler	1 layer diaper flannel, 2 layers Birdseye Pique	1/4 yard diaper flannel for one layer in the super booster - or use a scrap.	Add 2 yards of diaper flannel for the third layer in the super boosters.

Notions

Thread: High quality 100% polyester thread.
Elastic: 1/4" polybraid or cotton swimsuit elastic. See below (Elastic yardages will vary due to how tight you pull it while sewing).
Hook and Loop: Aplix or Touchtape brand hook and loop sew on tape. See below.
Needles: 14/90 Universal Needles.

XS/Newborn, Small	Medium	Large
4 inches of hook, 12 inches of loop - 1" wide. 1/2 yard elastic.	4 inches of hook, 15 inches of loop - 1.5" wide. 2/3 yard elastic.	4 inches of 1.5" wide hook, 15 inches of 2" wide loop. 2/3 yard elastic.

Machines and Methods

Very Basic All in One Diapers can be sewn with a serger or a regular sewing machine. If you use a serger, some steps will be completed on the sewing machine.
